Previously, I have always avoided reading Pinkwater’s books. His titles, The Hoboken Chicken Emergency, Fat Men From Space, and The Lunchroom of Doom, to name a few, seemed a little too weird, silly and stupid for someone who’s never been a ten-year-old boy.
i first really heard about cronkite from daniel pinkwater's lizard music, and have always thought of him as an institution. naturally, he was before my time, but i knew that he was the way reporters were before and the way they should always be.
